What is Miles Off?+
Miles Off is a free daily sports geography game. Each day you get three short stories from the NFL, MLB and NBA, and each one happened somewhere: a birthplace, a college town, a famous game, a strange moment. Drop a pin on the map where you think it happened, and you score by how many miles off you were.
How is it different from other map guessing games?+
Most geo sports games ask you to find a stadium or name a team. In Miles Off every question is a story, and the map has no city names until you guess, so you have to know (or work out) where it happened. After each guess you get the full story and a link to the source.
How does scoring work?+
Each story is worth up to 1,000 points, and the closer your pin, the more you score. 25 mi off is worth 920, 100 mi is worth 717, and anything past 1,500 mi is close to zero. A perfect day is 3,000.
How often are there new stories?+
Three new stories every day. Everyone gets the same three, so you can compare scores with friends.
Which sports are included?+
NFL, MLB and NBA to start, with the occasional curveball. More sports are on the way.
